What We Do
Established in 1973 as the first rape crisis center in West Virginia and expanded in 1978 to include West Virginia’s first domestic violence shelter, we have been faithfully serving our community’s survivors for over 50 years.
Our Mission
At RDVIC, we strive to provide a community-based comprehensive service that advocates for the equal rights of all individuals to have control of their lives without violence or threat of violence.
RDVIC provides emergency shelter, counseling, support group, advocacy, community education, and volunteer opportunities. Our services are confidential and free of charge.
We have and always will be an agency against violence.
